Making Money On The Internet Using A Blog

By Roman Deluna

It is essential that one makes the most of any online opportunities and blogging is no different. There are a lot of different options when it comes to using a blog to earn an online income. First option is to promote other people's products as an affiliate? Another more difficult option is to develop your own products to sell on your blog. Last but not least you can choose to use your blog for advertising your business or someone else's. These are three of the most popular ways to leverage your site to make money online.

You will certainly want to give affiliate marketing a shot if you want a quick, simple, and inexpensive place to start. Affiliate marketing is where you sell someone else's product or service for a share of the sale in the form of a commission. The commission amount or percentage is determined by the merchant. The process is simple all you do is promote affiliate links on your site or within your blog post and when you make a sale you get paid. There are volumes out there regarding affiliate marketing and if you plan on using this as a strategy I suggest you get well versed to improve your odds of success.

The actual process itself is very simple all you need to do is go somewhere like Clickbank and find a product in your niche you want to promote. Go to the merchant site and request an affiliate link. The merchant will often times also provides other resources such as banners for you to use. Next you incorporate the links where appropriate or paste the banner code updated with your affiliate link on your site. The affiliate code is what the merchant uses to track the sales and insure the right individual gets paid.

Advertising is another option that can be a big source of income. There are many different varieties of advertising. The most common is probably pay-per-click (PPC) ads. The premise behind this form of advertising is that you will get paid a certain amount of money every time someone clicks on an ad on your site. Google AdSense is a good example of pay per click advertising. This is a bit more involved as you have to find business that are interested in advertising on your site. It is not something I would consider if this is a new blog and you are not well established.

Along the same lines as AdSense ads is providing space to other businesses on a cost per action (CPA) type offers. In this case you get paid every time someone clicks on the ad link and then performs some type of action. In most cases it will involve filling out some form asking to be contacted or requesting additional information. You do not get paid unless that action is completed. Insurance companies, loan companies, and mortgage companies are among the entities that pay for this type of advertising.

If you genuinely have an eye for publicizing, you may consider offering advancing space on your site subtly. This option is unmistakably the most go about as you are accountable for finding the associations who need to advance on your site. When they start publicizing, you will be reliably included in being updated with the most recent. This option won`t captivate everyone generally in light of the possibility of it not working well.

The other option is to sell your advertising space to other marketers by placing their ads or banners on your site for a set monthly fee. This option may take a lot of effort on your part as you are responsible for finding the marketers who want to advertise on your site. It becomes much easier when your site gets popular at which point marketers may actually seek to advertise on your site. Once they start advertising, you will need to be mindful of those ads when updating your site. This option won't appeal to everyone due to the effort involved in setting up payment methods and installing their banners on your site.

Notwithstanding which way you choose to go; there's a probability you can make money online with a simple blog that you monetize using one of these strategies. You will need to reign in your expectations somewhat as blogging is not a get rich quick proposition. It will take you time to become proficient at blogging consistently and it will take even more time to get noticed on the World Wide Web. I do not say this to discourage you as you will eventually start seeing results maybe after the 3 month period of blogging pretty much daily. Cherish all your little successes along that way and use them to motivate you to continue and you will eventually be successful.
