During vacations or holidays, some families like going to the same places every year. Even if that particular destination is what you love as a family, it is good to explore other options. Therefore, always have an open mind and purpose of visiting new places every year. For instance, you can visit Sault Ste Marie this year and create new and lasting memories. Even if you may feel that the budget will be a bit higher, you can start saving early so that you do not have frustrations. Below are seven good reasons why you should visit this town this year.

When you arrive at this town, you may be confused because of the many places you need to visit. However, you can start by touring the ACWP Park that is located one hundred and eighty kilometers away from the city. You will travel by train and come across the Montreal River trestle. This trestle is 1500ft long and 130ft high. Also, in the park, there will be more sites to see.

This town has 300 campsites and a three-kilometer beach. While camping in one of the campgrounds, you can swim in the Caribbean waters that are very inviting. Also, some bays and places have warm water that you can swim in. Thus, if you have already visited the ACWP, you can spend the next day swimming.

People who love road trips have also been remembered. This town has so many sites to visit. Thus, if you wish, you can rent a car and set off. You will see the rugged mountains in the outskirts of the city. Also, you will see the coastline and feel the warm breezes on your face. The winding roads will make the experience more exciting.

Another way to have fun in this town is hiking. There are hiking trails that run for about six kilometers. While hiking, you will come across cascading waterfalls, river rapids and many other exciting features. The Pingusibi River has beautiful white sand that you will also find interesting. This river is also a canoe route. Thus, after hiking, you can find a day to navigate the river.

Walking around the city is also another way you can spend your afternoon. Besides window shopping, you can visit historic parks and other exciting parts of this town. There are walking routes that you can take to these areas. The St. Marys River is also one of the best places to walk along.

This city also has a history like most towns. Thus, to learn about the history of the town, you can tour some of the heritage centers and have a look while you learn. Also, the town itself has monuments and historic sites that you should visit. A good example is the Sault Ste. Marie canal.

If you want to visit this town, do not ask a native to tell you what places you should visit. This is because the natives do not see the gem they have, which is common to most people. Thus, the best thing to do is to visit this town and explore on your own.
