Know How To Make Money With A Blog

By Debra Wallace

Blogging can be a big adventure. Many people turn this into a full time business. However, just like an offline business, a blog is something that you have to plan before you decide to quit your job. Most professionals bloggers have been experimenting for some time since they have learned how to make money with a blog.

The first thing is to plan about what you want to blog about. You may already be blogging or you have a website about your offline business. When you start off, it is tricky to know what direction to go in. But one thing is true, and that relates to your skills and your talents. It can work very well when you apply what you know to your blog.

The secret is to know what you are blogging about and to make sure that it is going to sell. Of course, you can never be sure that the product is going to sell, but you can have an idea by doing the research. It is basically the same as an offline marketing plan.

It means that the client or customer won't be approaching the company or business as a stranger. Often, having a blog is a great way for the client to get to know the person behind the business. Sometimes, they will blog about something personal. It will draw them in. This can come out more in the emails that they subscribe to.

Adverts also need to be placed in various places so that are not covering up too much space. The rates are set by you, and this is to your advantage because you are not going through anyone else. It will obviously depend on the amount of traffic that you are getting. This is why it is so important to focus on traffic, and this can come in a number of different ways.

Your social media icons should be visible. However, don't be too pushy with pop-ups which enforce the user to subscribe or to follow the blog. You can ask them to share after a post, but it will discourage them to follow you when there is anything more than this. Posting regularly on social media is also important. It can be a lot of work, but you have apps which help you get this done all at once. You may not need to have all of the social media platforms available.

Posting regularly on your blog is essential as well. Send an email to your subscribers once you post. However, when you send too many emails, people will begin to unsubscribe. It can become annoying when emails pile up in your inbox. Keep this in mind. Posts should be informative and useful according to the topic and the type of blog which you have. Don't simply waste space. You need to draw the reader in so that they come back for more.

Marketing is everything in this business. People who don't have social media which they make use of will most likely fail. It is where subscribers keep in touch with you. It is important you keep in touch with your subscribers in a personal way without suffocating them with emails. There is a balance that you have to stick to. It is not only sales and information that you can think of put out there. You should ask yourself more about your skills and how you can use this to reach others. For example, an educator can design a online course. A personal trainer can design a program. A life coach can design an online training motivational training program.
