Refining the search options is brilliant but you should not stop at that. You should also give your customers the power to reverse their search. This basically means that you must let them go back a few steps in their search in the case when they made a big mistake or when they had a change of heart.

Pay attention to your search bar. You should already know by now how essential your search bar is for your site. Thus, it is imperative that you put it in a place where it can be easily seen by your customers. This way, the customers will search for the product when they cannot see it on their landing page immediately.

Your inventory must be up-to-date. Generally, you have to know what products are out of stock. If you find some products in your inventory that are out of stock, then the next step that you have to take is to indicate in its product listing on your site that it is out of stock. You can save yourself from frustrated clients that way.

Only make use of quality photos in the site. A customer will oftentimes base the selection they make after they have seen the picture of the product. When the product is of high quality, the chances of them placing an order for the product is higher as well. You should never skimp on quality photography.

Make the shopping cart as visible as possible to the customers. You better make it so that it can be found in every page. You should also make it so that the customers do not have to be redirected to the basket page every time they place another order to their cart. That could be quite frustrating for the customers, after all.

The site should be easy to navigate. Bigger sites will have more categories. If you are not mindful of how you arrange the site, your customers might end up frustrated because they seem to get lost while shopping in your site. Thus, you have to keep the page from being clustered.

You might need to charge delivery charges to the customer. It is better if you indicate the delivery charges, along with the other delivery options, beforehand. Do not just add the delivery charges at the end of the customer's shopping. If you do that, then you will find the cart they have painstakingly accumulated abandoned at the end.
