Finding Different Las Vegas Events For New Tourists

Las Vegas is a very popular tourist destination that attracts scores of visitors each year. Many people choose to visit there because of the active night life and the wide variety of things to do in Las Vegas NV. There are shows and performances featured regularly. If you are planning a trip there for the first time, there are several Las Vegas Events that you can participate in.

Many people like doing water sports; however, being in the desert, the beach is not very close by. So, to get some water activity, many visitors go to the Bellagio, where they have a large, Italian villa, with an indoor fountain. Guests can spend the day at the fountain and enjoy getting wet, which can be a cool relief from the hot sun.

If you enjoy sports, there are many sporting events that are held in Las Vegas NV every year. The city has a long history of hosting big boxing matches, with such well-known fighters as Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Floyd Mayweather. Also, mixed martial arts (MMA) fighting has also become increasingly popular in recent years, with originations such as the UFC and Bellator holding events in the city quite often. Many of these events are held at the Mandalay Bay Resort.

If you enjoy music performances, there are several held in Las Vegas every year. The city attracts such distinguished artists as Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion as well as some of the more contemporary pop bands. If you enjoy comedy, there are several comedians who have done stand-up shows there, such as Steve Harvey, Jerry Seinfeld and Ray Romano.

The city is of course famous for its vibrant night life. There are numerous bars for tourists to relax in. One of the most famous bars is the Mermaid Bar & Lounge, which features women wearing silver-finned fish costumes.

There are also various museums open to the public. The Atomic Testing Museum is a former weapons testing facility that provides memorabilia to the public about the nuclear weapons history of the United States. There is also a Mob Museum located Downtown, which details how the mob was involved with the development of the city over the decades.

Shopping is also a favorite pastime of visitors. There are numerous shops and boutiques along the strip. You can also go shopping in Caesars Palace in the Forum Shops which are set up in old-Roman style, but which include many designer outlets as well. Many stores are open until midnight on weekends. Visitors can also shop at the Fashion Show Mall, which has a large projection screen that hovers over the center.

Throughout the year, the city hosts many popular events, such as boxing matches and MMA fights. If this interests you, you should keep an eye on regular sports news so that you can book your trip at the time of the evens. If you just want to get away from the bright lights and crowds for a while, you can also visit Rancho Drive or the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, which offers botanical gardens, museum exhibits and nature trails.
