As long as that tradition highly aligns with your objectives and goals, take the chance. As a professional expert in the food industry, though, it is not only advisable to follow the tradition. Even traditions can change.

At least, the taste of the public can change. Therefore, think of adapting to those changes. If you are trying to get renown Bagel Distributors, you might as well choose the best. Do not just go after them just because they offer a wide variety of products. See if their products would highly pass your standards and taste. Knowing your position, you would surely never find it hard to elevate the taste of these bread. You can make it better. Therefore, choose something that would highly bring you the best result. Pick a firm who could highly fulfill your objectives. Truly, you must mind the price of the merchandise. However, you better not sacrifice your honor and reputation for such trivial matter. Whenever you like it, you could always obtain money from your customers. However, as for your reputation, they are something you need to earn and preserve.

Checking the market history of the firm and its reputation will never be enough. Instead of doing that, check their legacy and actions today. See how their stakeholders and customers have viewed them. Try to examine their internal and external aspects. Do not just focus too much on the cost of these items.

If they are incompetent, if the food they offered contains poison, they could also affect and damage your image. Knowing how these people can bring you down, you better assess them thoroughly. Check their facility. Determine their reputation too. Before you become one of their regular customers, getting an account manager would help.

Make sure to get someone who could handle your account effectively. Someone you can always talk with, every time you have a complaint about the service. Do not worry. These companies are willing enough to provide you one. If they are competent enough, they should have an excellent customer service for their regular customers.

Having a regular customer service alone would never do. For bigger orders, having an account manager matters. Someone who has an access to the delivery team, to the back end team, and even to the main system. You are a businessman. Have some pride in it. Just so you know, you got the right to ask for a negotiation.

Unfortunately, compared to an account manager, their assistance and support can be quite limited. They do not have the power to contact the delivery team or the back end department for an immediate response. Of course, whether they can complete such task or not, that still depends on the operation process of the firm. Therefore, watch it carefully. Try to know everything.
