One of the modern times diseases that has claimed millions of lives world over is cancer. This malignant growth of cells can occur on any part of the body. While treating cancer is a difficult and expensive affair, research has shown that conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) have anticancer properties. So feeding of foods with more CLA can help keep this disease at bay. Luckily, organic meats have high levels of CLA and this makes them a healthy choice that will boost your immunity.

Besides, CLA is good for boosting metabolism which is a major aspect of a healthy body. It also improves sugar balance thus making sure you do not suffer serious ailments like diabetes. This gives you another reason for considering organic meats.

Unfortunately, these chemicals actually lead to serious effects including the trigger of the growth of cancer cells. This is why you need to keep off inorganic meats that contain synthetic vitamin concentrates and hormonal enhancements.

Another benefit of feeding livestock on pasture is that the animals get to eat a wide range of plants with varied nutrients. This makes products from the animals tastier than those from their grain-fed counterparts. This is because grain-fed animals do not get to benefit from the biodiversity found in grazing fields. Therefore, if you are looking for a tasty steak, you are better of going organic.

Since fewer chemicals are used in organic farming, the farm waste is less toxic and is good for nourishing farmlands. Unfortunately, this is not the case where lots of inorganic farm inputs are used. The manure is toxic due to high levels of salts. This poisons the soil and underground water leading to the death of various plants and micro-organisms. Therefore encouraging pasture-fed livestock keeping is not only good for human health but for the environment too.
