Can Organic Olive Oil Distribution Be Controlled?

By Katie Onson

Those who know much about organic olive oil can tell you the ways in which it can be altered. Whether it's sunlight or warm climates, there's no doubt that there are certain components which can negatively play into the composition of the oil in question. With this in mind, one has to wonder how these can be controlled. With a potential distribution method, it seems as though such an idea can come into being and provide the best results imaginable.

The Olive Oil Times websites reported on the act of environmental conditions, which will be controlled, and how they can play into the quality of organic olive oil. Can the oil in question keep its original composition from point A to point B? There was a study done, to expand on this, and it was conducted by a program under the name of Health Critical Food Traceability. Of course, it would be unwise to overlook some of the noteworthy details of this topic.

It's important to account for organic olive oil and the ways in which it can be maintained. What this study aims to prove is that this particular product can retain its ideal level of quality, no matter how extensive the travel is from production to the first use. Of course, one can make the assumption, "This sounds like too big of a study." However, it's important to note that the OliveToLive system, in particular, will be looked over by the University of Florence's scientific teams.

It was in 2011 that the OliveToLive system was brought into existence. Ever since its inception, the system in question has been utilized across a number of restaurants, in Spain and Britain alike. What I took away from my research is that this was able to give consumers, who frequented these very restaurants, a more unique experience on the culinary side of things. Chances are that this would not have happened, had it not been for the inclusion of OliveToLive.

There is no denying the fact that there are many who would like to retain the quality of their organic olive oil. A product like this should be maintained, which goes without saying, and I believe that this system is a potential way to go about this. Of course, this system is still in the works, as it isn't available anywhere. Regardless, if it's continually surveyed and altered over time, who's to say that it cannot reach more tremendous lengths in time?
