And perhaps, one of the prettiest are you would ever see in a brief period of time is ice sculptures. It looks so easy when you tend to see it but its one of the hardest thing to achieve. The most important thing you would learn as you practice such masterpiece is time management since you cannot take that long to finish or else all the ice have melted before you have your form ready. Besides its just a practicing slate so you could make do with a block that weighs about twenty three to twenty four kilos. After which, you are ready to go etching your designs.

And it can ruin the whole design if you do not make it subtle as possible. You would not want to go and go back from the beginning when you already are halfway done.

Now, to do some finishing touches, you could go back to using your chisels and handsaws. That will help you refine and soften the edges to create a better form for the image you are trying to make on your carvings. Hand saws are generally great for those areas which you chainsaw could not reach like the interior angles and curves.

Chisels also makes a great help in taking care of that small areas. They do create the best intricate designs which will make it look extra detailed. If you wish to melt some parts, then you have to use a hair dryer with you. That also would smoothen any tool mark you have had on the ice.

After that, you can enjoy your design for like about six hours if you have a room temperature. But then even its temporary, the fun you get as you make it is really irreplaceable. And once you polished your skills well enough, you should know that you can start a business from that.
