Find Out How To Heal Sunburn

Even people with darker skin may get sunburns. It doesn't even matter how tanned you already are, it won't make you untouchable. So, it is important to use different protective creams while spending time on the beach. With all the protective measures, you can still get sunburns. If this happens, here are some tips on how to heal sunburn.

When you notice your skin is getting red, it's time to get out from the sun. When you can, immediately take a cold shower, or at least rinse the skin with fresh water. Apply another layer of your sunscreen product and find a shade. Wear protective clothes and a hat. In fact, having a hat on the beach is always a good idea. It protects your face and shoulders and it looks cool.

When you get home, take a shower immediately. Remember that hot water dries skin out, and use as cold water as you can. The ice can be helpful for easing pain, swelling and itchiness as well. Don't rub the skin with a towel, just leave it to dry on the air. After that, apply aloe vera containing moisturizer. If you have blisters, it means your sunburns are more serious, and you can additionally protect these areas.

Skin products containing aloe very are the best when it comes to sunburns. They will cool the area, help regeneration and reduce swelling. In some similar products you might find benzocaine or different fragrances. Such products are not good for this purpose, and may make things worst, or cause allergies and additional itching.

Take a pain killer or a simple aspirin to ease the pain and reduce the swelling. Wear some comfortable clothes and stay out from the sun. Drink as much water as you can, but avoid drinking any other liquids, except maybe freshly squeezed juice. Any alcohol is strictly forbidden because it will certainly make things worst.

For lighter sunburns, with no blisters, this natural remedy may bring instant relief. After taking a shower, simply apply fresh, cool yogurt or even sour cream on the area. It should stay there for several minutes, and, after that, simply rinse it off. Alternatively, slice fresh cucumbers and place them on red areas. Cucumber is really good for reducing swelling.

After taking a shower, you may also apply a little bit of pure almond oil on it, while it is still wet. Almond oil helps skin regeneration and moisturize it. High quality olive oil might have similar benefits for your skin. In any case, take an aspirin or ibuprofen, drink water and rest. Remember to wear really comfortable clothes.

Avoid spicy food and fats for a day or two. Instead, eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, drink large amounts of water and if you need a snack, choose any kind of nuts instead of sweets. This way you will get enough vitamins and minerals, as well as liquids, to help you organism to recover.
