Brunches refer to meals that people take in mid- or late-mornings. They combine both breakfasts and lunches. The meals are generally taken between mid-afternoons and mid-mornings, but the hours may vary widely. The experience of having a brunch in Colorado is very exciting. Colorado is home to very many facilities that serve quality brunches at pocket-friendly costs. The cost, quality, and convenience of finding facilities to take a brunch from make this place worth visiting.

The practice of eating brunches started a very long time ago. The term itself was coined in 1895 in Britain. The meal was meant to be taken by Saturday-night carousers. A description of the meal was written in an article written by Guy Beringer in Hunters Weekly magazine. Another writer referred to as Frank OMalley also wrote an article in a magazine giving a description of the same meal.

Besides public restaurants, this meal is also eaten in colleges, hostels, military camps, and in special occasions. In colleges and hostels, brunch is served on various days, especially holidays and Sundays. In most cases, brunches offered in hostels and colleges are made in the form of buffets where people serve themselves to their feel. Meals ordered from a menu are also made available or a combination of both menu-ordered meals and buffets.

Many different meals are included in brunches. Some of the most commonly served meals include fruits, pastries, bacon, sausages, ham, eggs, and pancakes among others. People start by eating light meals meant for breakfast such as fruits, snacks, and coffee. After that, they progress to heavier meals and finish off with deserts.

Military dining facilities in Colorado also serve brunches to people. Meals served are very variable. Both lunch and breakfast options of the brunches are available. The time at which the meals are served vary a lot. Generally, however, military dining facilities in Colorado serve their meals from mid mornings to mid-afternoons.

Dim sum brunches are served in all Chinese restaurants globally. These brunches consist of various sweet and savory food items such as stuffed buns and dumblings. The foods may be deep-fried, steamed, or baked. Carts are passed in the hotel with foods for people to pick whatever they want in small quantities. Chefs in the kitchen continuously produce more fresh food to be moved around on carts. People eat dim sum brunches in during middays, mid-afternoons, or mid-mornings.

In Colorado, brunches are prepared and served in hotels and restaurants during special occasions. Such occasions include Easter Sundays, weddings, Mothers Days, Valentine Day, and Christmas. People can walk into the restaurants and eat whatever they want. The price may remain fixed or may differ for each food item included.

What makes brunches distinct from other meals is the sheer number of food items served and the timing. Each food item included into the meal should be analyzed for nutritional content to make it valuable. When taken later in the day, most people do not need to take another heavy meal in the evening before going to bed. Often a snack suffices.
