Blogging With Jewish Orthodox Blogs

By Scott Evans

Writing about something Jewish has become more and more popular amongst Jews and other religious denominations who are curious about this Religion. Jewish Orthodox Blogs allows the reader the opportunity to learn something new or expand upon an existing knowledge base. The subjects are vast as there is just so much to learn from this way of life and putting it down in writing is what is called for to address each and every subject with the concentration it deserves.

For instance, there are many wanting to know about the dating and courtship processes of religious orthodox Jews. Some of these reasons may be due to the incidence where one is looking to marry into this religion and would like to know more. Know this, that it is very hard processes when wanting to convert and marry a fully fledged Jew and most are discouraged from this because it is not in the interest of the partner that is already Jewish.

When wanting to get married, an orthodox man and woman will make arrangements to meet each other through a person called a Shatchan. This person is essentially a matchmake and has details about both sexes on record which allows each individual a chance to read up information on the other. If they feel they want to take it to the next step, then a time is arranged by the matchmaker for them to meet in a public place for coffee or a soft drink.

A shatgan or matchmaker is someone who provides this service of getting two people together and is paid a fee for his or her services. In years gone by, sometimes this person would be the Father and Mother of child who would arrange a marriage with another. Today, one has more choice as one is presented with a whole lot of eligible people who are looking to get married and start a family.

Should the arrangement be called off it is not strange that the couple will never see each other again as this would also be immodest as men and women do not intermingle outside of a marriage. The reason for this is that temptation may push one to pursue and unlawful relationship outside of marriage. So if there is not connection with the couple then it is put to rest and the search continues for that soul mate that is out there and waiting.

It is a closely guarded transaction where the courting is done in the strictest of confidence. Should a person not be a Jew by birth then this option is totally closed to them as they would first have to go through the rigorous process of converting. This is not an easy path to take and requires years of dedication.

Blogging on material such as this is fun especially should one get regular readers. There is much to be learnt about this subject. There is so much to be written about and shared with readers wanting to know more.

It is filled practices that are beautiful and allows the individual to grow as a person. It is based on love for a fellow human being. Blogs on the various subjects can only but inform one in a precise fashion with regard to practices and customs.
